We Believe Every Kitten Deserves a Loving Start
Founded in 2016, Happy Kitten Rescue began as a small volunteer network in our community. Today we are a nationally recognized rescue organization with a mission as simple as it is meaningful: to connect rescued kittens with families who will cherish them for life.
We work tirelessly — rescuing abandoned litters, coordinating emergency medical care, placing kittens in loving foster homes, and carefully matching each one with adopters whose lifestyle truly fits. We don't just rehome kittens. We build lasting relationships between animals and families.
Our team of over 80 vetted volunteers and certified foster carers spans multiple states. Each kitten in our care receives vaccinations, parasite treatment, microchipping, and a thorough veterinary health check before adoption.

How Our Adoption Process Works
We've made adoption straightforward, caring, and personal. Here's what to expect from start to finish.

Submit an Application
Fill out our short online adoption form. We ask about your living situation, lifestyle, and experience with cats. It takes about 10 minutes and helps us match you perfectly.
Interview & Approval
One of our adoption coordinators will reach out within 2–3 business days for a friendly interview. We want to make sure the match is right for both you and the kitten.
Secure & Pay Fee
Once approved, pay the adoption fee to hold your kitten. Fees cover vetting, vaccinations, microchipping, spaying/neutering, and ongoing rescue operations.
Delivery or Pickup
Choose local pickup (free, by appointment) or nationwide transport ($150–$400 depending on distance). All transport is handled by certified, kitten-safe carriers.
Welcome Home
Your kitten arrives with a health record, starter kit, and our contact details. We check in at 2 weeks, 1 month, and 6 months to make sure your family is thriving.
